Špilj is 733 meter high peak. The peak is located 4 km south of peak Pasja ravan. The nearest mountain hut is Koča na Vrhu Svetih Treh Kraljev, located 7km southwest. A little further is hunting cottage Lovska koča (pod Malo Grmado). The peak is located northwest of the valley Ljubljansko barje.
