Kotnikov vrh is 539 meter high peak located in the Karawanks mountain range. The peak is located 1.4 km north from the center of Gaberke and 2 km northeast from the center of Ravne. The nearest mountain hut is Dom na Paškem Kozjaku, located 9km east-southeast. A little further is hunting cottage Trsojca. 4 km south-southwest of the peak there is lake Družimirsko jezero. The peak is located west-southwest of the valley Mislinjski jarek.
