Jakovec is 235 meter high peak. The peak is located 0.5 km west from the center of Jelše pri Otočcu and 0.8 km east from the center of Sevno. The nearest mountain hut is Planinska koča pri Gospodični, located 11km southeast. A little further is hunting cottage Logarnica. Lovska koča. South-southeast of the summit is the valley White Carniola.
