Šrangerjev vrh is 950 meter high peak and is part of the Lavanttal Alps. The peak is located 2 km south-southwest from the center of Kapla na Kozjaku and 4 km north-northwest from the center of Ožbalt. The nearest mountain hut is Kapunerhütte, located 10km west-northwest. Closer is hunting cottage Lovski dom (LD Kapla), which is located 3km to the north. South-southwest of the summit is the valley Mislinjski jarek.
