Rötkreuz is 2074 meter high peak located in the High Tauern mountain range. The peak is located 3 km east from the center of Predoi and 12 km north-northeast of Rein in Taufers - Riva di Tures. The nearest mountain hut is Schlüichalm, located 1.6km north. bivouac Neugersdorfer Hütte is also relatively close. 6 km north of the peak there is lake Eissee. 5 km east-southeast from the summit there is glacier Rötkees - Vedretta Rossa, 6 km northwest from the summit there is also glacier Rauhkofelkees. The peak is located north of the valley Affental.
