The saddle is located 4 km south-southeast from the center of Niederdorf - Villabassa and 4 km southwest from the center of Toblach - Dobbiaco. The nearest mountain hut is Dürrensteinhütte - Rifugio di Vallandro, located 7km south. A little further is Malga Rossalm. The saddle is located above the valley Höhlensteintal - Val di Landro.
