Lapenscharte is a saddle at an altitude of 2701 meters and is part of the Zillertal Alps. The saddle is located 0.5 km southeast of peak Gigalitz. The nearest mountain hut is Winterraum Greizer Hütte, located 1.5km south-southwest. And hunting cottage Jagdhütte Wandegg is also close by. 1.2 km southeast from the saddle there is glacier Lappenkees, 3 km south from the saddle there is also glacier Floitenkees. The saddle is located above the valley Floitengrund.
