The peak is located 4 km south-southwest from the center of Schmieden - Ferrara and 7 km southwest from the center of Niederdorf - Villabassa and 1.6 km west-northwest of peak Schwalbenkofel - Monte delle Rondini. The nearest mountain hut is Centro Studi montani - Winter dormitory, located 3km southwest. A little further is Malga Rossalm. North-northeast of the summit is the valley Pustertal - Val Pusteria.
