The nearest mountain hut is Chemnitzer Hütte - Rifugio Porro, located 4km south. A little further is bivouac Hochferner-Biwak. 0.8 km southwest from the saddle there is glacier Östlicher Nöfesferner - Vedretta di Neves Orientale, 1.0 km east-southeast from the saddle there is also glacier Trattenbachkees - Vedretta di Dentro. North of the saddle is the valley Zemmgrund.
