Schottenberg is 2394 meter high peak located in the High Tauern mountain range. The peak is located 5 km southwest from the center of Predoi and 6 km north from the center of Rein in Taufers - Riva di Tures. The nearest mountain hut is Affentalalm, located 5km east-southeast. A little further is Bacheralm. 8 km southeast from the summit there is glacier Fleischbachkees, 8 km northwest from the summit there is also glacier Grasleitenkees. Southeast of the summit is the valley Knuttental.
