Sella Buia is a saddle at an altitude of 1656 meters located in the Julian Alps mountain range. The saddle to which the marked trail leads is located 0.6 km west-southwest of peak Picco di Mezzodì. The nearest mountain hut is Rifugio Celso Gilberti, located 7km east-southeast. A bit closer is bivouac Aghe di Ploe, which is located 3km to the north-northeast. The saddle is located west-northwest of the valley Krnica. The saddle is located below the ridge Cresta Indrinizza.
