Monte Calvario is 241 meter high peak located in the Julian Alps mountain range. The peak to which the marked trail leads is located 1.6 km northeast from the center of Lucinico / Luzinìs and 3 km west from the center of Gorizia. The nearest mountain hut is Casa Cadorna, located 12km south-southwest. Closer is bivouac Bivak Stefan 573m, which is located 7km to the east-northeast. The monument Cippo Caduti Giuliano-Dalmati is also located near the top. East-southeast of the summit is the valley Vipavska dolina.
