The saddle is located 4 km north from the center of Antholz Obertal - Anterselva di Sopra and 6 km north-northeast from the center of Antholz Mittertal - Anterselva di Mezzo and 0.5 km north of peak Wildgall. The nearest mountain hut is Barmer Hütte, located 3km east-northeast. Furtalm is a bit further away. 5 km northeast of the saddle there is lake Sankt-Josef-See. 1.0 km north from the saddle there is glacier Hochgall Ferner - Vedretta di Collalto, 1.1 km west-southwest from the saddle there is also glacier Östlicher Rieserferner - Vedretta di Ries orientale. Southeast of the saddle is the valley Antholzer Tal - Valle di Anterselva.
