The peak is located 5 km west-northwest from the center of Antholz Mittertal - Anterselva di Mezzo and 6 km northwest from the center of Antholz Niedertal - Anterselva di Sotto. The nearest mountain hut is Rieserfernerhütte - Rifugio Vedrette di Ries, located 4km northeast. A little further is Tesselberghütte. 3 km north from the summit there is glacier Althauskees - Vedretta di Casavecchia, 6 km northeast from the summit there is also glacier Westlicher Rieserferner - Vedretta di Ries occidentale. The peak is located west-northwest of the valley Antholzer Tal - Valle di Anterselva.
