Frauenköpfl is 3251 meter high peak and is part of the Rieserferner Group. The peak is located 0.4 km northwest of peak Magerstein. The nearest mountain hut is Rieserfernerhütte - Rifugio Vedrette di Ries, located 1.5km southwest. A little further is Pichleralm. 8 km northeast of the peak there is lake Sankt-Josef-See. 0.9 km north-northeast from the summit there is glacier Westlicher Rieserferner - Vedretta di Ries occidentale, 2 km east-northeast from the summit there is also glacier Östlicher Rieserferner - Vedretta di Ries orientale. The peak is located west-northwest of the valley Antholzer Tal - Valle di Anterselva.
