Großer Tauernkopf is 2872 meter high peak in the Zillertal Alps. The peak is located on the border between the country of Italy and the country of Austria. The nearest mountain hut is Birnlückenhütte - Rifugio Brigata Tridentina, located 3km east-southeast.
