Haupenscharte

Description:
Haupenscharte is a saddle at an altitude of 2679 meters and is part of the Zillertal Alps. The saddle is located on the border between the country of Italy and the country of Austria. The nearest mountain hut is Hochfeilerhütte, located 3km south. Closer is bivouac Hochferner-Biwak, which is located 0.9km to the south-southeast. 1.9 km south-southeast from the saddle there is glacier Hochferner, 2.0 km east-southeast from the saddle there is also glacier Rötkees. Northwest of the saddle is the valley Zamser Grund.
