Virgenkopf is 3035 meter high peak located in the High Tauern mountain range. The peak is located on the border between the country of Italy and the country of Austria. The nearest mountain hut is Kleine-Philipp-Reuter-Hütte, located 0.9km southeast. bivouac Neugersdorfer Hütte is a bit further away. 8 km northwest of the peak there is lake Eissee. 1.3 km southwest from the summit there is glacier Rötkees - Vedretta Rossa, 1.7 km south from the summit there is also glacier Welitzkees. Southwest of the summit is the valley Schwarzachtal.
