NOTO (Siracusa) strikes every visitor with its enchanting and aristocratic atmosphere, with warm tones given by the honey-colored stone. Once a city of nobles and prelates, today's Noto is preparing to become a center of art and culture, where ancient magnificences have transformed into a common heritage of humanity. Among all the centers of Val di Noto devastated by the 1693 earthquake, it is considered the capital of Sicilian Baroque: built from scratch in a different location from the one that was completely razed to the ground, of which today only scattered ruins remain on the Alveria hill.
