The Castelluccio plateau bears witness to an event of particular importance, from the first days of June to the end of July, La Fioritura. For several weeks, the chromatic monotony of the pasture is broken by a mosaic of colors, with shades ranging from ocher yellow to red. Although the 'Fiorita' festival falls on the third and last Sunday of June, there is no specific day to admire this enchanting spectacle. Every year, everything depends on the season's weather. The floral species that color Pian Grande and Pian Perduto during this period are countless; walking along the paths, we can encounter: gentianellas, daffodils, violets, poppies, buttercups, asphodels, Viola Eugeniae, clovers, wood sorrels, and much more.
