The ascent to M. Nery, 3075 m, located between the lower valleys of Ayas and Gressoney, can be done along several routes.

In this case it is tackled from the Ayas side starting from Tollegnaz, 1020 m; the entire Chasten valley is ascended via Seuc-Alpe Merendioux Superiore to Colle Chasten, 2549 m, then overnight at Bivacco Cravetto in the upper Vallone di Stolen.
