Description:
The first close-up view of Očak always evokes an expedition to Stenar every year. This time too, but the summit itself kept hiding in the clouds, like a room in a game that's not yet accessible. A prudent decision deprived this expedition of the last 400 meters of elevation. The approaching weather front could have caused us a lot of trouble on the descent, so we turned back at Dovška vratca and returned to the valley. No matter, we still ascended over Sovatna and met many interesting things and people along the way, making the trip enjoyable despite the turnaround. Kudos to all participants for their persistence and prudence.
