Description:
The Junkers 52 or 'Aunt JU' was built in 1939 and is stationed in Dübendorf (Switzerland).
In 1981, the air force decided, for cost reasons, to decommission its three JU-52s. An interest group led by the director of the Federal Office for Military Airfields, Brigadier Walter Dürig, advocated that one of the JU-52s be transferred to civilian sightseeing operations and made available to the Swiss people as a nostalgia aircraft for a maximum of five more years...
