Description: A 3-day hike to discover the demanding summit of Tahiti: Mont Orohena culminating at 2241m.<br>Once the ridge is reached, a magical trail winds between moss-covered trees and takes us to Pihaiateta (1742m). We reach Tahiti's second summit, Pito Iti, on the first day and set up bivouac at 2110 m. The wind doesn't rise, we're lucky. The next day, the view is clear, departure at dawn for Mont Orohena. The ridge separating Pito Iti from Orohena is spectacular. After reaching the summit of Orohena, which clouded over in the meantime, we return to the bivouac at Pito Iti for the second night. The third day is the descent and return to the mille sources.
