Ascent via the normal route from the Aneou parking, one kilometer below the Portalet border pass. After a while we pass the Pombie refuge and head to the Souzón col. Higher up the grassy slopes lead to the great wall and the first chimney. When I climbed it 27 years ago it was equipped with pegs, most of which have disappeared, so roping up is recommended. We ascend overcoming the 3 chimneys until the Portillón cross. Seeing it many think the summit is near. Far from it, quite some time remains.
