The Val Grande-Forcella Staunies cabin lift was built in 1969 as a fixed-grip 2-person cabin lift. The lift is a so-called Cestovia and replaced a Graffer gondola lift. The current system is from Leitner and is also known as Cristallolift or Cristalloscharte. At the beginning of the 80s, it was converted to a 2-person chairlift for winter operation. Since then, the lift is a combo lift. In winter 2-person chairs, in summer 2-person cabins. At the same time, an intermediate exit was installed before the last steep section. These works were carried out by Marchisio-Doppelmayr. In recent winters, the steep section was operated again after being closed for years. The lift was unfortunately shut down on July 23, 2016.
