For years I've been watching the gully descending towards Sant'Anna Church, and this year finally abundant snow arrived.. The idea was to ascend the trail above the village to gain the amphitheater from where to choose visually a possible track to the ridge and reach one of the Musi peaks. The strong wind last week at altitude changed the game.. and unfortunately decided to give up even the summit idea to dedicate to skiing the gully hoping it still held some powder... Unfortunately right away we understand the game was worrying, the entire valley from start to end is a delicate battlefield between slabs, worst crust and releases of all sizes up to large avalanches even in the valley bottom.. in short unskiable, already good to get down...
