Between Hohe Schrott and Schönberg lies one of the many 'no man's lands' of the Toten Gebirge: the confusing-hilly, dwarf pine-overgrown high plateau around Langwand, which reaches its culmination at the 1690m high Predigkogel. But hikers and mountaineers hardly see it, because firstly it is also dominated by the tough greenery, and secondly the somewhat lower but rocky and cross-adorned Gamskogel radiates far more attractiveness from its south flank.
