Description: © CLAUDIO MORTINI™◊ The village, one of Italy's most beautiful, is located at the foot of Pratomagno (AR), the historic center is of medieval origin but Loro Ciuffenna has much older roots; Etruscan and Roman artifacts have been found in the area, during the early Roman period, the Loro territory was crossed by the Cassia Vetus (the route is still very similar to the current Strada dei Sette Ponti) connecting Fiesole to Arezzo. In 123 AD, this road was replaced by the new Cassia Adrianea which passed further downstream, marginalizing Loro Ciuffenna.
