In January 2023, Dr. Michaela Kiersch sent ‘La Rambla’ (5.15a), making her the 3rd woman to send the route, and the 7th woman to climb 5.15.
‘La Rambla’ is one of the best — and oldest — 5.15’s in the world. Established in 2003, La Rambla is a benchmark for international sport climbing. Since her ascent of ‘Dreamcatcher’ (5.14d) in 2021, Michaela has re-dedicated herself to reaching this goal — spending more time bouldering, hangboarding, and training. Looks like it’s paying off.
