Description:
We start from the Besabi snack bar, at the top of the road taken at a junction from Urnieta to Andoain.
Instead of taking the normal route from the Montefrío farmhouse marked as Adarramendi, we take the track to its left, crossing a sheepfold gate. This track slowly gains height while skirting the mountain on the left. After passing some wooden pens and a group of trees, we tackle the grassy slope in front until reaching a flat area with a cromlech. A path between the pine forest and Aballarri leads us to the Manttale col. From there we only have to patiently climb the long ridge, with a final steep rocky section.
