Description:
The Formarinsee in the Lechquellengebirge shimmers emerald green under the mighty Red Wall. Its size varies as it forms anew each year from meltwater of the surrounding mountains. On foot, one reaches the Formarinsee from Klostertal, Großen Walsertal and Lech. The panorama bus runs from Lech through Zugertal to the lake. The Alpine Club hut Freiburger Hütte is located directly at the Formarinsee.
