Schröcken lies at 1,269 m on the Hochtannberg, it was settled in the 14th century by Walsers from the Swiss canton of Wallis. In summer, Schröcken is entirely dedicated to alpine mountain sports, e.g. beautiful hikes to the idyllically located Körbersee.
