Klausegg Castle Ruins A-5580 Tamsweg
District: Tamsweg State: Salzburg
Wonderfully maintained ruins of the former fortress from the 13th century, located about 10 km east of Tamsweg, directly on the border between Salzburg and Styria. Also well-preserved remains of the former 4-meter-high and 400-meter-long defensive walls, which blocked the entire valley, are still present. With a short hike, one reaches this medieval and noteworthy structure.
