Aconcagua is the highest peak of South America, likewise of both Americas and the southern hemisphere. The mountain's height is 6962 m, it is a peak of the Andes range, located in Argentina, in Mendoza Province.
The area around the mountain is part of a protected natural landscape, surrounded by Valle de las Vacas and Valle de los Horcones Inferior valleys. Several glaciers surround the mountain.
