Description: Originally designed for walks and fast hikes, these Free Hiker have surprised me. Externally, the similarity to their sisters Adidas Boost Solar and their massive amount of Boost in the sole is noticeable. On the feet they feel very very comfortable, the Boost cushioning is very reactive. The sole with the Continental signature has barbaric grip.... I'd dare say quite better than their trail running cousins. The fit is good and in the laces department is where I can put a flaw. Round laces prevent perfect fit, although it's quite high. The surprise came when I started running with them. I went surprisingly fast with them.... I'd say as fast as with some trail model. The lack of structure penalizes them in strong supports like curves but.... very good. The grip is superb and the Boost response is the best. It could be said that it's a wolf in sheep's clothing. Any trekking or hiking is within their reach and if you want to venture into trail running... also.
