Description:
A really cool ski peak in Ahrntal, Schientalkopf!
Starting point Kasern. Towards valley end to Untere Tauernalm, ascent to Obere Tauernalm and on to Krimmler Tauern - just below traverse left to the saddle to Schientalkopf and over the steep summit ridge to the peak 2774m. Descent depending on conditions very wide steep gullies and kars directly to Obere Tauernalm where the hut cat Minze greets you heartily. Dreamy panoramas from Dreiherrnspitze over Rötspitze accompany the entire ascent and descent.
