Description:
Via the Hoher Dachstein Schulter via ferrata and a short rappel passage, we reach the Dachstein Glacier. Despite the danger from existing crevasses, all tension now falls away from us. We slide and slip through the tracks of those ahead down to the main path and treat ourselves to the long-awaited victory beer before sprinting back to the mountain station of the Hunerkogelbahn. Time is pressing, as the last gondola to the valley is ready to depart.
