Description: Biwakschachtel (alpine emergency shelter) is being installed as an external winter room next to Glungezerhütte at 2,610m. The bivouac consists of lightweight prefabricated individual elements, built on a modular system. In the home Alps, polybivouacs have proven themselves for four decades. Due to the octagonal shape, the bivouac on the ridge can be kept clear of snow by the wind, the elevated structure on four legs ensures accessibility at all times.
