Description:
Not far from Gutrat are the sparse remains of the former Alt-Gutrat castle. In contrast to Gutrat, which is a well-maintained and excellently restored ruin, only wall parts of a rectangular tower and scant remnants of the ring wall from Alt Gutrat exist, found on the steep castle hill. Nevertheless, the short ascent to the ruin remnants is worthwhile, especially since it is unusual that two independent castles were built so close together. From the ruin, one can also catch a glimpse of the Gutrat ruin, only about 100 meters away as the crow flies, peeking out from the forest.
