Description:
Outing of the Club Andino Leones de Montaña to Cerro Alto del Padre (3349 m asl), carried out on April 13 and 14, 2019.
We began the ascent at 4:45 am via the normal route (west face), but the lack of snow and the instability of the scree (with a lot of falling material) made us take a variant a bit further north, reaching almost to the edge of the ridge. Summit arrival was at 12:00 and after a rest we decided to descend (for safety) via the scree that falls to the southwest side, reaching the valley that connects to the ridge, achieving a mini traverse of the hill.
