I set off for 4 days to the Dolomites - even though the weather for the first 2 days was reported as very changeable and rather rainy, I wanted to use the free days to do a few more tours in the Dolomites! Unfortunately, the winter onset came much too early and higher tours were not possible or too dangerous due to snow, so I had to spontaneously replan and on the first day it went to Monte Piano directly above Lake Dürrensee. This tour offers crazy deep views of the lake which is very crowded in summer and completely empty that weekend and if you have visibility also on the natural jewel - the Tre Cime! The path up very often narrow, exposed and dizzying, except for 2 others I was completely alone here - a dream!
