Lapas Negras is one of the most incredible and tough hikes on Madeira Island. Just above Sao Vicente, this hike takes you inside several caves before traversing the coastal ridge on the north side of the island. This hike should be done with a local guide who knows the route as it can be dangerous with drop-offs.
