The Grüntensee is a reservoir of the Wertach River and lies between Wertach, Oy-Mittelberg and Nesselwang on the border between Oberallgäu and Ostallgäu and has a size of approx. 2.2 x 0.8 km (circumference approx. 8.2 km) depending on the reservoir level. There is a circular path around the lake, which takes about 2 to 2.5 hours depending on speed.
