When time is short, one must think of hikes close to home and not too long. The first eastern reliefs can offer various paths that in this season are clear of brambles and tall grass. Monte Craguenza (Kraguonica 949 m a.s.l.), with its long ridge, separates the Natisone valley from that of Chiarò di Torreano. The summit is a small balcony over the high plain and on a clear day the sea can be observed without difficulty.
