No. 3 Atestino Trail, Colli Euganei.
Excursion on 17 March 2019 by Cai Este (PD)
We start the path from the parking lot of Villa Beatrice, turn right and following the signs we reach the top of Monte Rusta, where we find the monument of the Blessing Christ. We descend to the saddle that connects us to Monte Fasolo and go to see the oratory of San Gaetano. We continue towards Monte Orbieso, to the ruins of the small convent of Santa Maria Annunziata. We return to the trail and descend to Corte Vigo and ascending the northern, eastern and southern slopes of Monte Piccolo we reach Arquà Petrarca. From the upper village we descend to Piazzetta San Marco and take the street leading to Petrarca's house, continue to via Marlunghe and then to the 'Pianoro' of Mottolone. From there we descend along the trail first delimited by a wooden fence and then on via Correre until reaching the fountain of Pisarotto de val de Sora and then that of Pisarotto delle Tormene and finally to Villa Beatrice.
