Description: Mountain hike in Berchtesgadener Alpen to Kammerlinghorn
Total approx. 1700 hm and 24 km distance.
Starting point is the hiking parking lot Hirschbichl (Ramsau), 800m. From here by bike on the paved road towards Hirschbichl uphill. After a very steep road section, on the right side signpost towards Bindalm. From Bindalm a wide, initially quite steep track leads to Mittereisalm. Bike depot shortly before Mittereisalm. Over the flat pasture surface of Mittereisalm a narrow path leads to the pasture fence, which is easily overcome by climbing over. Through the light larch forest the hiking trail continues uphill to the beginning of Kleineistal. At an altitude of about 1,350 meters the path turns right and leads through a steep gully to a scenic high plateau, the so-called Karlboden. After the path from Kammerlingalm joins from the right, the further path leads through dwarf pine fields over the broad ridge of Kammerlinghorn. Below Karlkogel the dwarf pines thin out, now the path leads over lush green meadows. From Karlkogel (or called Karlkopf) climb over a steep step onto the broad ridge leading to the summit. The path leads in numerous switchbacks to the summit of Kammerlinghorn.
