Description:
Ski tour from 18.02.2016.

Start at parking Alpeltalsteig (1100m). The route leads along the summer path through a gully-like clearing upwards. Already after a quarter hour one sees left the rock face, which must be crossed on a narrow, somewhat exposed, wire-secured band from right to left. Now again upwards through a gully-like clearing to a ca. 10m high rock step. Here depending on conditions either on foot over the rocks (rather left) or with skis (mostly right) up. Over a steep slope the narrow Alpeltal directs into a small, flatter basin. Slightly left-holding into the basin and up the following very steep step. Best overcome it traversing from bottom left to far top right. Then up to a ledge (ca. 1850m) marking the start of the huge kar. Flat along a ridge, then right-holding through the basin terrain. At the end switch from right valley side to left and ascend over another step southeastwards to Göllscharte. Now left, north direction, up the steep broad ridge to a fore-summit with cross. Further along the ridge, minding the huge cornices!, to the summit and here once more steeply up to the highest point.
