Description: Bruedertöbeli (Switzerland). In 1369, a hermitage of three lay brothers and a priest is first mentioned, which was gifted the place by the Count of Toggenburg. In the 15th/16th century, inhabited only by a single man. In the 18th century, annually on the church holiday (July 22: Margareta), service for Catholics from Lütisburg, Ganterschwil, and Oberhelfenschwil. Mostly inhabited by poor people. 1851/52 renewed attempt by four men to establish a hermitage. Partially met with resistance because it was no longer suitable for the progress of our time. 1865 chapel and brothers' house demolished.
