The initial plan was to reach the summit of Monte Pizzul, the eastern spur of the Monte Zermula chain, starting from the forest road from Studena Bassa to Cason di Lanza. To tell the truth, we already had some doubts about the success of the trip at the start, considering the type of summit slope and the strong wind from previous days, but in the end the desire to explore a place certainly little frequented by regional ski alpinists convinced us to stick to the plan. Even though we only reached the forcella, the panorama is still rewarding, especially on a clear mid-February day. Sun, lots of snow and splendid friends' company give me a memorable day.
